Drafts – WIPs

Kaity is working on the Achilles Heal Socks, a pattern from knitty,  out of her GnomeAcres Hawkeye colorway. She is also working on the T.A.R.D.I.Socks out of Lorna’s Laces Solemate in the Bigger on the Inside colorway.

Kris is still working on her Mr. Bates socks, using her vintage Zitron Trekking XXL. Kris bound off her Lily Cardigan, so all that’s left to do is block it and weave in the ends.

Frontlist – FOs

Kaity finished her Zombie Birthday Socks, finally.

Kris talked about our new yeti microphone, which is helping with our sound issues. She also showed off her three new Signature needles, which she has in a size 8, 9 and 10. The last things she showed were her new copper cable needle and her monkey bag from Bird Leg Bags. She also has caught the sweater bug, and bought four skeins of yarn so that she can make herself another sweater.

Kaity showed her Skein BFL yarn that Santa brought her, and she showed off her new Signature sock needles, that she’s already broken in, and they attacked her arm.

Apocrypha – Geekery
Kaity showed off her new necklace, which is Once Upon a Time themed. She also showed off her new video games: Just Dance 4, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, and Assassins Creed 3.
Sharon from Three Irish Girls has started Knitters for Newtown, to benefit the families of Newtown, Connecticut. Kris and Kaity are planning to send the squares they were saving for Project Linus to Sharon, to be incorporated into the blankets her group is putting together.
For the local knitters, Yarns, Etc. in Chapel Hill is collecting Monsters for the 600 Monsters project (deadline Jan 20).  Downtown Knits in Apex is collecting handknit winter wear to send to Newtown (deadline Jan 6).
We also want to say hi to our two new kids, Djdee and apexbreezes. Glad to have you here!
