Drafts – WIPs

Kris is nearly ready to put the heels in her second pair of toddler socks.

Kaity is plugging along on her College Sweater. She might be done next week, if she can crawl out from under her homework.

Front List – FOsKaity finished her silk hankie mitts.

Slushpile – Gift KnitsKris showed the Socktopus she knit for her youngest out of scrap Plymouth Encore and a bunch of sock yarn.

Backlist – Old Knits

Kaity dug up her first Woolgirl project, the Sign of Four socks.

Group Work – Clubs, Etc.
Jordyn and Cori have posted FOs in the KnerdGirl Knits StitchRed KAL. Way to go! You have until August 31 to post pictures of your finished objects in the FO thread for the consolation prize drawing coming in September.Kaity still hasn’t finished her first sock.

Brainstorming – Stash Enhancement
Kris found her Cookie A Sock Club 2011 stash that she hasn’t used yet, including String Theory, Bugga, A Verb for Keeping Warm Metamorphosis, and Solemate. She forgot the HazelKnits that must have fallen out of the bag at some point.
Apocrypha – Geekery
Kris discussed what you find when you look up knitting on PubMed, and a blog post she wrote a while ago on what happens if you knit while hooked to an EEG.Kaity talked about Noteshelf, an app she got for taking notes in her college classes, so she doesn’t have to carry lots of notebooks in addition to her textbooks.

Thanks, Enid! Kaity was worried she had left something really embarrassing in the intro. Good to know it was just her game face 😀

Great tip on the APP. My daughter is going to buy herself an IPAD and she can take notes directly on that instead of lugging around all the extra binders.
